Why “The Way”?
For us, The Way Church is more than simply a name. It is a commitment to walking with people toward Jesus, wherever they find themselves on their journey through faith and doubt. Long before “Christian” became the common name for Jesus followers, they were simply known as people of The Way (Acts 9:2; 19:9, 23). Their lives were shaped by Jesus, who said, "I am the way, and the truth, and the life" (John 14:6).
We know that can sound like a bold claim. We don't believe we have all the answers, nor do we see ourselves as better than anyone else. We simply believe Jesus is who He claimed to be, and we're learning to follow Him together.
To that end, we see faith as a journey, not a destination; a lifelong process of knowing Jesus and becoming more like Him. None of us is meant to walk that journey alone. Our commitment is to walk alongside you as we follow Jesus, trusting that He meets us every step of the Way.
